Neutrality

“If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality.”
---Bishop Desmond Tutu

There are times when I'd rather not be embroiled in an argument. Such times when I'm asked a question like "Did you not see this happen?" I smile quickly and say "Oh, I love arguments like this. It's good to get heated up once in a while, keeps the blood running. Carry on. I'm listening." lol. Usually, this lets me off the hook. Well, for most people except my mom. She'd give me the bad eye. lol.
But, this quote is very right. In the case of an injustice choosing neutrality means choosing the side of the oppressor. There are no two ways about that.

I was going to wear a pair of green heels with this lovely pleated skirt, but, on second thoughts I chose these flats. It's mid week. Can't wait for the weekend. :)
