There was a time when I wouldn't wear Ankara except to church on Sundays. Ankara was designated to married women and mothers. But, little by little young girls and women began to don the fabric and when it took a huge leap off the streets and onto red carpets it became a hot commodity.
The good thing about Ankara is that the cotton fabric is breathable, hence it is cool and perfect for the tropical climate.
